Cross-cutting Programs
NCEZID directs many cross-cutting activities about high-priority topics for the center and the entire agency. From programs like Advanced Molecular Detection that applies DNA sequencing and advanced computing to solve complex infectious disease mysteries to the One Health approach that recognizes the health of people is connected to the health of animals and the environment, cross-cutting programs address needs that can only be met through a coordinated effort of centers and offices working collaboratively to prevent infections and save lives.
