Preparing an Environmental Chemical Analytic Dataset
The Preparing an Environmental Analytic Dataset course consists of six modules:
Module 7: Merge & Append Datasets
Module 8: Review Data & Create New Variables
Module 9: Format & Label Variables
Module 5 and Module 8 are specific for preparing an environmental chemical analytic dataset. Module 6, Module 7, Module 9, and Module 10 are similar to corresponding modules presented in the continuous NHANES tutorial; however these modules use datasets and variable names specific to the environmental chemicals.
If you are new to NHANES data analysis, we encourage you to approach these six modules in sequence. By choosing to go sequentially through the different tasks and steps in each module, you will follow, in order, an example that resembles a real life process that an analyst goes though when preparing an analytic dataset.
If you are an experienced analyst who needs only specific information to help you complete an analysis on your own, you can pick and choose topics of interest from the navigations bar to the left. You may also go to the Sample Code and Outputs page to download and modify sample programs for your own use.
The computer software, knowledge, and skills requirements are listed for your convenience on the Software & Technical Requirements page.
