- Prevalence for all tobacco use was 28.0% in 2007 and 24.1% in 2012.
- Prevalence for all tobacco use among males was 26.1% in 2007 and 22.7% in 2012.
- Prevalence for all tobacco use among females was 29.7% in 2007 and 25.4% in 2012.
- Prevalence of current cigarette smokers was 24.5% in 2007, and 19.6% in 2012.
- Prevalence of current male cigarette smokers was 21.1% in 2007 and 17.4% in 2012.
- Prevalence of current female smokers was 27.3% in 2007 and 21.5% in 2012.
Prevalence of Exposure to Secondhand Smoke (SHS) Among Youths Aged 13–15 Years—Argentina, 2007 and 2012
- Prevalence of exposure to SHS inside any enclosed public place was 54.7% in 2007 and 47.5% in 2012.
- Prevalence of exposure to SHS inside the homes was not available for 2007, and was 52.5% in 2012.
- In 2007, prevalence of exposure to SHS inside any enclosed public place was higher for females (57.7%) than for males (51.7%).
- In 2012, prevalence of exposure to SHS inside any enclosed public place was higher for females (50.1%) than for males (44.5%).
- In 2012, prevalence of exposure to SHS inside the home was higher for females (55.7%) than for males (48.8%).
