  • Diabetes at work is a resource designed to engage the business community and help them make decisions about diabetes. This easy-to-use website helps businesses understand diabetes; assess the impact of diabetes in the workplace; and provides resources and tools to create and implement worksite education programs to prevent and control diabetes.
  • The National Diabetes Education Program (NDEP) is a federally funded program sponsored by the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and includes over 200 partners at the federal, state, and local levels, working together to reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with diabetes.
  • The NDEP website provides patient education materials and diabetes education resources, slide presentations, and tools designed especially for business and managed care.
  • The Community Preventive Services Task Force recommends combined diet and physical activity promotion programs for people at increased risk of type 2 diabetes based on strong evidence of effectiveness in reducing new-onset type 2 diabetes.
