Arctic Investigations Program
Welcome to AIP, the Arctic Investigations Program. We are a branch of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) located in Anchorage, Alaska. We are part of the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Diseases, within the Division of Division of Preparedness and Emerging Infections.
Our mission at AIP is to promote health in the Arctic. We do this by working closely with our partners to provide support for infectious disease research studies. Some of the studies we conduct have been in progress for over 20 years. These long-term activities help generate new information about improving Arctic health.
AIP consists of a staff of about 35 people. We are based at the AIP facility on the Alaska Native Health Campus in Anchorage, Alaska. You can find us across the street from the Alaska Native Medical Centre on Tudor Centre Drive.
