Worker Safety
CDC’s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) develops new knowledge and programs for the field of occupational safety and health, to keep workers safe while on the job. American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) people are 42% more likely to be employed in a high-risk occupation when compared to non-Hispanic whites. These NIOSH resources provide safety information for high-risk occupations where many AI/ANs are employed, as well as tools for evaluating health hazards in job settings.
