Emergency Response and Recovery Scientific Publications

Refugee Camp, ChadCDC’s Emergency Response and Recovery experts collaborate throughout CDC [135 KB, 1 page] along with ministries of health and international partners. Our publications reflect the diversity of public health issues related to emergency response in all regions of the world. The work cited below addresses disease-specific outbreaks and emergencies, surveillance, and cross-cutting priorities related to strengthening public health systems in — and after — humanitarian crises like war, famine, civil strife, natural disaster, genocide, or displacement.

Featured Publications

During times of conflict and emergencies, health care staff work long days under stressful conditions. Often, health professionals have also been impacted directly by the crisis. However, their well-being is not usually a priority, especially when it comes to managing stress. How do we best take care of those who care for others? Learn more about how Kosovo is working to ensure the well-being of their health care professionals.
