Evaluation Basics Guide Series

The five evaluation guides in this series provide comprehensive guidance on planning and implementing an evaluation.

CDC developed the evaluation guide series as technical assistance tools for state and local health departments that are also relevant for a broader audience.

The guides are intended to:

• Offer guidance and a consistent definition of terms.
• Aid in skill building on a wide range of general evaluation topics, while recognizing that programs differ widely in their experience with and resources for program evaluation.
